Tom Hall is an IT Engineer; Tom was given his first computer as a Christmas present from his parents at the age of 7. On Boxing Day he locked his bedroom door and dismantled the whole computer, the following day the computer was not only re-built but worked much faster.

Tom works for a large computer company supporting complex servers and Pc’s and his reputation as a competent hardware engineer grows.

We are Enthusiast's and collectors of Gardner Engines. Our aim is to preserve examples of Gardner engines so that the existing and future generations will be able to appreciate Gardner’s mechanical genius and their vast contribution towards Britain’s industrial success.

Acknowledging the lack of parts for the Gardner engine and the extortionate prices some charge for rare parts prompted us to manufacture our own engine parts.

In the building of this website the acknowledgment of the debt owing to others is the pleasantest part of this task. Help and encouragement have always been forthcoming from members. In connection with this particular mention should be made of Mike Griffin, who found time to send huge amounts of photographs from numerous Steam Rallies. A special word of thanks should also be given to our pattern maker who works non-stop in the making of engine patterns.

All profits from Gardner Enthusiast is re-invested into the manufacture of obsolete parts and our range of parts is growing quickly.

Above all we are aware that we are mainly custodians of these great engines.
